Anybody have any idea what this is? It is growing out of an old sea shell. It has two tubes, you can see one of them in the picture. It does react to touch or being disturbed, so I'm guessing its not a sponge. It is probably about 1/4 inch in size. If you have any clue, I would really like to know. (Little thing in the red circle:))

The retracting part seems to be the exact thing that has everyone vexed. I know the pic isn't that clear but it is so small it was hard to get a good close pic. Anyway, it seems to have skin that looks like it might be a little thicker than that of an anemone and is tan to brown in color with little flecks of darker and lighter brown. I don't have the slightest idea where to search the internet to find it either. I guess I will just keep an eye on it and try to get better pics as it grows. Maybe it will make more sense in a couple weeks. It has only grown to a noticeable size in the last two weeks.

Tunicate seems to take the cake. I haven't been able to pinpoint what type of tunicate (sea squirt) yet, but tunicate it is.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!
