What's this softies name ? How is the flow and lights ? Is it easy to raise?

Looks like a Kenya tree that isnt too happy in that picture. It is retracted and flopped over. Did the lights just turn on when you took this pic? They are super easy to care for and self propogate almost on a daily basis in my tank. I had 1 now I have 18. They grow like weeds. Also, they grow under just about any sort of light you give them. A very low light demanding coral but can stand intense lighting like LEDs. Flow should be limited and not direct.

My guess would be a carnation coral of some sort. (Dendronephthya) Not the easiest corals to keep.

I have google and saw a similar picture , that shown as flower tree corals and according to the web, it is not easy to raise.

Well this morning I saw the whole steam is not extending and I think not a good signs .

Anyone can advise how can I rescue it ?

+1 on carnation coral, hard to keep.

It's definitely a carnation. I believe there nob- photosynthetic and difficult to care for as well.

I read they prefer frequent feedings per day. Sounds like a lot of work : /

Well I was off haha. I just googled carnation. Interesting! Learn something new every day.

It's a silk coral. Umbellulifera sp. Very difficult to maintain. It is non photosynthetic and requires medium flow with heavy feeding.

Looks like Scleronephthya. Naming aside, the other advice here is correct. Non photo, moderate to strong laminar flow, and nearly continuous plankton feeding.

I have changed my flow and adding seio 530 it's now seem to be much better (crossing my fingers). I fed a lot and it increases my ammonia to less than 0.25 , I add seachem prime , is it also softies safe?

Ah looks like you are discovering why those corals are hard to keep. If you head over to the non-photo forum you'll see most of those guys have dosers/feeders since these corals need to be fed almost continuously. An oversized skimmer would also help since the frequent feedings are going to create ammonia and nitrates.

One questions , while during quarantine , should I also have to feed them continuously ? Recently my not so much cycled QT have an ammonia of 0.25 ppm due to my twice a day feeding these couple of corals with zooplankton and marine snow .

I have added prime and change 25% water late midnight last night , can you imagine that! Huh , almost wanted to give up !

They are non photosynthetic meaning they do not get nutrients from your lighting. They need to be fed frequently to be kept alive.

This was indeed some kind complicated situation I am now getting in.

On one side, QT having elevated ammonia while on the other side I have to keep feeding these creatures !
