Prolly feeding off the phosphate that egg crate is leaching

Any worries, there are about 15 to 20 of them? Range in size of a dime to quarter.
Had some yellow/greenish sponge in display tank that became a some what of a hassle. Some effort was needed to get it under control.
Eradicate or let be?

They are usually good until they grow in your piping. I had to remove a lot of sponge that built up in my overflow. It was constricting flow on two 2" piping. Those sponge loves to grow on egg crate. I had removed most egg crate in my system.
