Can anyone help identify these tube like things growing down under the rock? They just started to appear about a week ago.

+1 Vermetid snails

Just wait till they start sending out "spider webs" all over your tank. I crushed a bunch of them off my rocks the last time I moved them around. They can become a nuisance.

Ohhh noo, we any reference to spider and myself do not get along. What is the best way to get rid of them? I've only seen these few so far so seems like I want to get a handle on it quickly.

Don't let them get out of control, they can be a huge pain.I have a tank with a large population of them and am the process of cleaning them up .if you can remove the rock to crush them. Use a bowl or bucket with some tank water. Cloak ID these guy's for me a few days ago. Thanks again Cloak. If you let them get out of control you can expect problems. Like this see pic

Crushing the tube doesn't work unless you get the snail inside of it. The best way to do it is with a pair of tweezers. Grab at the spiral base and you should see a worm looking thing that's what you want to remove.

Well after seeing the picture from SaltywaterDog . . . I just threw the piece of rock out . . . . problem solved . . . lol

Well problem not completely solved, still a couple on a few other rocks which I cannot dispose of nor easily remove to pick them off. I read somewhere that you can put some aiptasia-X on them? Any truth to that?

I'm not sure about the Aiptasia-X, but some people will put a small dab of super glue gel over the opening of the tube to seal it shut. This can be a real PITA if you have a lot of them, but for just a few it's definitely worth a shot IMO. GL.
