Just purchased this coral and would like to know the name of it please

To me, that almost looks like an anemone.... But then again i could be wrong. I'd wait for a second opinion but i'm pretty sure that it's not a soft coral...

Looks like manjo anemones, not a soft coral. They are actually concidered a pest

+1 Mojano anemones. They can be pretty but grow all over and can sting other corals. Not as bad as aptasia but IMO should be removed ASAP to avoid later headaches.

Really? Not happy about being sold a pest coral. Just messaged the shop where purchased and they said looks like a furry mushroom :s

Perhaps it is some form of mushroom. How big is each polyp? Approximate the diameter.

Dont feel bad, i went to a lfs one time and they talked a person into buying a rock full of aptasia. This is a good reason to research before buying anything. some Lfs i am sure pray on people that are uneducated. However it hurts the hobby as those people give up because of bad advice and dont ever reach the point of haveing a beautiful tank.
