ID Please?

I was out fishing today and actually hooked this little guy!!!

I am wondering if this is a mushroom and of so what type? My initial thought was some kind of hairy mushroom, but by the time I got it home it had all these feelers out and I have never seen a mushroom do that. then again I don't have much experience with mushrooms
