Hi all I am new to the RC boards and pretty much a noob to SW fish all around. I have a 29Gal Bio Cube and its been set up for about 6 months now. I just receintly purchased a piece of LR that has a few hitchikers on it. One is clearly a crab very very small but I cannot identify if its good or bad. Can someone please lend some advise as to what this little guy could be?

That's a galatheid crab, also known as squat lobster but these guys are actually closer relatives to hermit crabs than either true crabs or lobsters. I bet that the number of undescribed ones in tropical areas is higher than for described ones. Galatheids are all detritus feeders or filter feeders so they're among the few reef-safe crabs around.

Thanks for the pics PerfectDark and the ID LeslieH - that is a very cool crab. You can see how it's related to hermits by it's body shape - very cool indeed.
