ID please

Hi all,

Not sure if this is some sort of hair algae or fungus but it's been growing in my tank for a couple of weeks now. Can anyone ID this as well as any recommendations on how to remove it? It grows as a brownish fuzz and it is very difficult to manually remove. Thanks in advance.

I borrowed these photos from another website but it looks exactly what is on the LR.

Thanks for the ttt, we can certainly use some expertise here. Search came up with zero and no one seems to know for sure.

Seems like incipient golden hair algae. Change your salt mix

Without photos of your algae and more info on your tank ( age, water parameters ) I would be hesitant to id and make a recommendation on possible control. the photos you've provided look to me like something very benign, and not something I would be overly concerned with.
