ID Please!

Hey guys,

I bought a piece of rock with some mushrooms on it a few months ago. After a few days, I noticed that sometimes tentacles sticking out from behind the mushrooms, but I never saw where they were coming from until today!

Attached is a photo of the owner of said tentacles...

Is this a brittle star? Is it reef safe? I've never seen the tentacles anywhere but on that rock, so he seems happy among the mushrooms.

yeah, it looks like a Brittle Star. I have a really big one and it never bothers anything. It has stayed under the same rocks for over two years. It never came out. Just watch it often to see how it gets along with others.
