I assume they are harmless filter feeders? I have 3 sections with around 5-10heads. Did a Google search of hidden cup corals and that's what they are for sure thanks cloak.
Yes & no... I can't remember the last time I've seen a thread where these things in particular were causing problems. Then again, if they are taking up some prime real estate within your reef tank then they're pretty easy to eradicate IME. Just p!$$ them off with your finger until they retract and then throw a bubble gum size piece of epoxy over them. (smother) GL.
They have been in there for over a year and don't seems to bother anything so for now I'll let them be. All of the colony's are right next to my open brains which also were on the LR and they are all growing and opening since day one. Again thanks for the advice of they become an issue I'll be sure to remove.
