I knew I had him, thought he was safe, when the lights were off I heard a water splash, my saddle back clown jumped out,
I turned on the lights began looking for him and couldn't find him, so I looked on the tile and there he was behind my back pack, I've had many fish jump that's how I lost the female of the saddle back mated pair and a mocha clown, but I put him back in,( barely made it) and I seen him swim low again near a cave next to a yellow tang, them the star fish was like reaching for him tryna wrap around him and the tang, so I took him out, what kind of star fish is it, the guy I got it from said it was a green serpent? Are they safe of should I remove him

Green brittle starfish are very oppertunistic. If there is an easy target infront of them they'll probably take the oppertunity to grab it.

This oppertunistic behavior is kinda exclusive to the green brittles rather than all brittles. Other than the green, all of them are usually very safe and harmless.

And no pic was provided..

Green brittle stars are hunters. Don't keep them, they'll eat your stuff. Give it to somebody with a sump or refugium, they're good for those sorts of situations.
