ID this thing ?!

Can someone ID this thing similar to a clam but is not.
It attaches to the rocks and can move .. It can open like a clam like you can see in the pictures and if it see me very near to the glass looking, it will close.. lol funny.

Why it is unique ?

It is so nice animal. It moves slowly on the rock, these last few days remained same position and spends most all the time opened.

I read about them that they are water algae feeders, that s why their shells opens.

Why people don't put these oysters in their reefs ?

Because like many other scallops and oysters, they are hard to keep and usually die in the reef tank. They are strictly filter feeders and need daily feedings of phyto for them to live.

if i were you i would post this in the clam/mollusk forum to see if they can positively id it.
