So as i was looking at my tank trying to figure out were my Flame Hawk went :( sad day still havent found him. I noticed that there were a few worms in my tank. I cant get a picture of them because they are to small and i dont have a camera good enough to get them. But they look like a centipede but a peachy color. I know that its going to be hard for someone to ID them but i was wondering if there is a site that i can do a lil homework on myself that way i know if their good or bad..

Thank you.

i just saw a page on the "new to the hobby" forum. it has every imaginable worm you could have. FLReefGirl posted an ID for one in her tank. look for her post its in there. have a great weekend!

I know there are hundreds of different Polychates in the sea, and even in our tanks there are quite a few... LeslieH is an expert worm wrangler.... :D and she frequents this forum often. Perhaps she can give you a link to the beautiful gallery of images that she took, I used to have it but lost the link to it.
In the interim, I would like to leave you this link to an article about the large worms that are commonly (or not so commonly) found in aquaria.

As an aside note, in my nearly 10 years of reef aquarium keeping, most worms I came across are beneficial scavengers that I personally paid good money to have in my tank when i set it up. ;) Dead snail or left over meaty foods, it is all that this worms are looking for and usually find. ;)
