just was wondering if anyone could ID this fish i saw at the georgia aquarium. none of the employees knew what it was; obviously its a tang of some sort but was just curious as to what kind exactly. any feedback is appreciated!

Looks like a Dussemeri - Not sure if that is the correct spelling... They get big.... Bigger than big... But very friendly tang, makes a great pet.

Needs a giant tank.

thank you!

Saw some at the Dallas aquarium. Beautiful swoop-swimmer fish that are only suited for the largest tanks.

ive never seen them at an aquarium before the goergia one. but they are absolutely gorgeous.

Dussumieri Tang. Probably my favorite species of tang. Drop dead gorgeous, but get very large (bigger than a naso), and relatively hardy if placed in the right environment. Same genus as sohals and clowns, but larger and *much* more peaceful. Definitely on my dream fish list :bum:
