What kind of algae is this? I know it’s a bubble algae, but is there a more specific name because it’s different than bubble algae in my main tank. I have this in my refuge and it’s been there for dozens and dozens of years but now all the sudden a spore got in my main tank so I want to idea it and then find something that will eradicate it in my main tank only. I just purchased 10 emerald crabs for my 150 gallon tank but they seem to not be interested.

Caulerpa Racemosa or Grape Caulerpa. I don't know of anything that will eat it. Your best bet is manual removal. I use various species of Caulerpa in my refugiums as well, they are great for nutrient export.

I have “heard” that tangs and Foxfaces will eat it however I’ve personally never seen them eat it before.
