I have another question
I'm going to be buying another A. percula sometime this week
would it be ok to get a black A. percula or would the color differences between them be a problem?

Unfortunately, "black A. percula" is a TERRIBLE common name that is used in the hobby and could refer to three different species of clowns.

If it's an "Onyx" A. percula (like yours, only black between the bars) you're fine. If it's a black A. ocellaris (which I suspect is what you mean, all black with an orange nose) you should be ok. If it's A. polymnus (angled second bar and usually no third bar), then no, don't try it.
