Identify hitchhiker star??

I just added some more LR to my tank and a few of these guys came out.

that are about 1/2" across and look like brittle stars.
are they brittle stars, and if not what are they and are they bad?

Micro-brittles, they are good scavangers and diteris eaters.

good to know, sorry to keep asking questions but do they multiply in a tank?

I have them in my fuge. they will scavange and if they ever make it to my main tank, they will be food for some fish. Good to have in your tank.
