Identity needed

Was in Petco today and they had this little guy. Advertising him as LTA. I think that's what it may be because it does have the pinkish red foot but it's obviously bleached. The thing that has me questioning it is the tentacles have rings all throughput. Not bulging rings but the blue color that is there are rings throughout each tentacle. Any ideas? Paid $10, figured I'd try to turn it around health wise.

It is a Heteractis aurora. They like a deep sand bed, 4 or 5 inches. Regular reef lighting and high quality water conditions--undetectable nitrates preferably, temp 80-82F, sg 1.026, moderate water flow. They are considered a host anemone, because several species of clowns will go in them as juveniles, sometimes called a nursery anemone. But adult clowns don't seem very interested in them.

They have a reddish foot similar to LTA? Are they pretty hardy? What coloration do you think it will turn out to be?

Yes, they have a reddish foot. They are fairly hardy once they are settled in. They will develop a rich brown with striations in the tentacles when the zooxanthellae grow back. That one looks bleached, but good light will take care of that.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping it was not an LTA, that's why I took a chance on it.
