ID's please

Found this crab, I think he has been munching on some finger leathers but I'm not 100% sure. What is he and is he safe to keep. Also found this tiny hermit? What is he and is he safe?

It appears to be a xanthid of some sort. As most crabs are opportunistic predators you can't predict if they'll start after your corals so you'll need to keep an eye on him & your leathers. Or just put him in your sump/fuge immediately. The pics are too fuzzy to do any better at id. The hermie pic is better but it's just too small to id. It does look like a species that will remain quite small and unable to do any real harm.

Thanks, I kinda thought it looked like a xanthid but I don't have much experiance with hitchhiker ID's. I wasn't to worried about the little hermit I just wanted to be sure.
