If you were to have a wrasse harem...

Gives Bad Advice.
Which would you choose? Tank is a 5ft 125. Will be reef. Currently have two wrasses: solaris and lubbocki.

I'm not confined to these two and are open to others. Looking for good color and animation.

What would you choose?
I do happen to like red velvet and whiptails but have no idea of their harem interractions.

Help me choose?

I would avoid harems. In most cases, female fairy and flasher wrasses will transition into males, even with other males present. Just get specimens from a few different species. Having congenerics in the same tank will help them maintain color.

BTW whipfins are pretty aggressive toward other fairy and flasher wrasses.

That's the route I plan on taking. I have my male p. carpenteri in there now and plan on adding a couple other male Flashers using an acclimation box for each new introduction.
