Don't jump all over me for posting something dumb. I have a 90 gallon with 20 refugium.
1.025 spg.
76.5F
Auto top off
4 ATI T5 lights
2" sand bed and 85lb rock stack in cave form
This tank has been up for 7 months coming from a 55g that was over a year.
0 for stats, some nitrate and some green hair growing on glass in shaded areas, I have a BRS GFO reactor going.
Feeding frozen PE mysis, Hilkari pellet S, some frozen brine shrimp from Petco till its gone.
I quarantined the new fish via TTM followed by prazi. The Blenny and clowns were a transfer from the 55g.
Yellow coris Wrasse, Royal Gramma, O. Clown pair, solorensis Wrasse, Starry Benny, (1) Female Lyre tail Anthias.
Awhile ago, in March I posted that Benny was crazy, swimming all over the glass and was startled easy. At the end of March I added both wrasse from QT. Through April and may I noticed significant thinning of the blenny and he would eat bits and I thought he was a goner.
Well jump forward to the last two weeks, he is not erratic, he is not startled easy and he has gained size, is grazing some again and eats like a pig. Great right.
All the other fish look great now, the clowns are fat and nesting a lot. I feel that the solor wrasse is loosing weight even though he eats voraciously. He chases the anthias and RG some but not contact, always has from day one. He killed my flasher wrasse on week two even tho they spent all QT together and introduced at the same time and same size.
So to get to the point, could I be dealing with some internal parasites somehow? If I am do you think I will be okay in the long run? Why is it only effecting certain fish at a certain time? Was the Benny just new tank syndrome? And am I just seeing something that's not there in the wrasse? I should also say I have missed days of feeding because I have been working 13-14 hour days and if I miss the lights out they don't eat. Otherwise I feed once a day. Could it just be I need to feed more? Anyways I look forward to some replies. Thanks.
