IM Nuvo Concept Abyss Panorama Build

Saw this tank at the Lfs and was completely shocked...didn't even know they were coming out with something like this. It looks like a really cool design in person. Would really like to see how things will take off with this little tank.
I didn't have any issues with my pump from IM, maybe it was the rubber foot/bumpers/suction cups that wasn't attached to the floor of the sump?
Only thing I hear is the ghost skimmer sometimes, but other than that it's pretty silent.

How are you liking your Ghost Desktop Skimmer so far? It fits perfectly in the back right? Does it poke up out of the top? We like the more streamlined look so we don't want anything other than the light and the small clamp for the ATO above the lip of tank. Thanks!

I believe I have the midsize skimmer...but it does its job. Some people have issues with it, probably because of how it is installed? But Tinkering with it and dialing it in helps...if you get one I could give some pointers. I believe I have a picture of how it is installed in my tank journal. Check it out, and pm if you have any questions.

Will do, thanks!

I was thinking of waiting to get one until I had my fish/corals in there or should I start skimming as soon as my cycle is done?

I was planning this timeline:
Once tank is cycled going to get CuC, some corals and pair of clowns, clowns go into QT for 4-6 weeks.

When during that time should I start skimming?

Day 5 PM:

Salinity - 1.025
Ammonia - 2.0 ppm (holding steady)
Nitrite - .025 ppm (first time this has showed anything)
pH - 8.0

Now the spouse is already asking what CuC we should get, and since we won't have much bioload at first and don't want to be feeding to much and introduce too many nutrients into the system I was thinking:

1 skunk cleaner shrimp
3 blue leg hermits
3 torches snails

I don't want to get too many and have them starve. Thoughts?

Day 8 AM:

pH: 8.0
Ammonia: .25 ppm
Nitrite: 0.00 ppm
Nitrate: 5.0 ppm

I never really saw a Nitrite spike at all, and I was testing two times a day, highest I saw was .50 ppm. I thought the Nitrite would spike as high as the Ammonia levels?

We also have some hitchhikers from the live rock we bought at the LFS, any idea what these are?

Day 10 AM:

Salinity: 1.025
pH: 8.0
Ammonia: (between 0.25 ppm and 0.00 ppm)
Nitrite: 0.00 ppm
Nitrate: (between 5.0 ppm and 0.00 ppm)

The ATO has been keeping the salinity very stable and temperature seems to only fluctuate between 80-81.2 degrees during the day.

I am thinking once Ammonia gets all the way back down to 0.00 ppm I will dose the ammonium chloride I have again to see how fast it goes back down to 0.00 ppm again.

Sorry for lack of updates, been super busy at work with new projects.

Day 36 AM:
Salinity: 1.025
pH: 8.0
Ammonia: 0.00 ppm
Nitrite: 0.00 ppm
Nitrate: ~5.0 ppm
kH: 9
Calcium: 440
Phosphates: 0.00 ppm

Since set up I have added the Tunze Nano Osmolator, inTank media basket running filter floss, Chemi-Pure Elite and Purigen, and a Koralia Nano 425 powerhead.

Added my small Clownfish (bought as a pair but the other didn't make it through the first night) after a 3 week Quarantine in a 10 gal set up. He is very active, and is currently being hosted by the powerhead ha. Have a Cleaner Shrimp (Pierre) who was super tiny when we bought him, and has already molted at least once and growing very fast. Has a voracious appetite for anything I put in the tank, including my hand! Added 5 Nassarius, 2 Astrea, 4 Trochus snails.

Also, have been slowly stocking corals into the tank and have been monitoring water levels daily, performing a 15% water change every 4 days to make sure everything is stable until the tank is more established.

Coral Livestock:
Green Hairy Mushrooms
Pulsing Xenia
Galaxia
Hollywood Stunner Chalice
Frogspawn
Calustrea
Zoa colony
Aussie Can
Short-tentacle Goniopora
Some sore of polyp (was sold to me as GSP, but I don't think it is GSP, anyone know what this is?)
Also some leather coral (was sold to me as Nephthea, but it may be Sinularia, anyone know what this is?)

Will post some pictures below.

Here are photos

You will also notice I am currently in the process of cycling a Micro-Reef 4.3 with NanoBox Mini Tide light which will be my Sexy Shrimp tank :)
