Impeller problem with Rio Hyperflow...

I use a Rio Hyperflow to feed my Euro-Reef RC. Last night I got home and everything was working fine, I unplugged the pump to clean the skimmer cup, when I was done I plugged it back in and the pump doesn't work.

In between unplugging it and plugging it back in I didn't mess with the pump at all, all I did was take off the skimmer cup, put it back on, plugged it back in and no go.

Took the pump apart and I can't figure out what is wrong, I plug it back in, and it vibrates, but it won't spin at all. Do the rubber bushings on the ends of the ceramic shaft need any kind of lubricant?

Has anyone had this problem? I definitely don't want to have to buy a new pump if it can be avoided, and as of right now my skimmer is off line which I don't want even more...

less than a year. maybe 8 or 9 months....i was hoping i could fix this myself rather than getting a new impeller or new pump.

I bought a Rio 24HF and used it twice before the impeller swelled up and would not turn on the shaft. When I pulled it out its now crooked and the plastic cracked around the magnet and the magnet is protruding. A replacement impeller was almost as much as a new pump so I tossed it.
