Improving Zoa coloration through fragging...?

I was curious if i could remove less attractive polyps of zoas from my colonies leaving only the nicer ones to grow. for example...i have a larger colony of fire and ice. some zoas have amazing blue colors while others have essentially none, red skirt and like redish brown face.
So would it be wise to remove the less colorful polyps in order to let the better ones spread? Or are their babies just a crap shoot and it doesnt matter what the originals look like?

It all depends.
I don't think you should call it "to be wise". It's more an option and you'll have to take the risk of infections on your "chosen zoas".
I wouldn't do it because of the morph differences. It's actually nice to see the differences among the polyps IMO.
