In case anyone is looking for an 8' tank

I was in Aquarium Adventure on Ridge (I still keep FW fish as well) and they had an 8' tank with a center overflow for sale. He said it was purchased as a mistake. Guy said he is selling it at cost ---- $1,800 versus the $2,600 retail. No idea of the other dimension but my guess would be that it's a 300g or 390g.

PS. Don't know the price of big tanks so for all I know it's a ripoff. Just passing it on.

What do you mean "center overflow"? Center on back wall or actually the center of tank alowing 4 sided views? Also was it a standard 24" wide?

Sorry, center of the tank. 4 sides viewable. I really don't know how wide. It was sitting up front and someone asked how long it was and the clerk said 8 feet and told the story.

I was in there a couple days ago. I saw that huge tank. I think it has a stand with it too. The tank is so big that the overflow is in the "center" of the tank completely. It is in the middle of the bottom glass. You can place rocks in 360' circle around it. The tank is at least 300gal.

No I was there tonight and it is listed as a 260-280 if I remember right...and that price is for the tank only. I forget the stand price. Good deal or not? A very nice tank and the overflow in smack in the middle of the tank. Pretty cool.
