In Nashville (Opryland) for work

Hi all.

I am in Nashville for a conference at the Opryland. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good LFS to visit while I am here. I have no car and will be using a cab so closer is better.

I really don't need anything and have a Biocube 14g that is pretty well stocked, but I am looking to get a 180-250g tank in the next 6-12 months and generally just interested in browsing kewl stores.

It's an addiction.... as I am sure you know.

From Opryland, it's about the same distance going to Aquatic Critter or Emerald Bay. Either way would take you about 20min or so depending on traffic. It's a BAD addiction, trust me, we all know it too well.......... :lol:

Kewl.... well, you tell me. probably can't go to both so I will pick one.... Do you recommend one over the other?

Now, if you southerners have figured out a way to get the wife to allow the 200g tank, can you clue me in? LOL

I just let my wife stain the tank stand whatever color she wanted (an eventually a canopy, too). That seemed to work for me, but YMMV.

I haven't been to Emerald Bay, but I like the Aquatic Critter quite a bit. From what I hear, both are great.

If your just generally browsing, Aquatic Critter would be the better choice. Have fun while your around!!!

The critter has lots of things to look at. If you're just window shopping. Look in to glass cages if you are looking for a really large tank. add a dot com to their name to check out their website.

The Aquatic Critter is a little closer (about 10 minutes closer) to Opryland.

Welcome to Nashville! I'm originally from Boyertown, PA (near Pottstown), which isn't all that far from Chester Springs. After a few years down here, I can say that I doubt southerners have any better luck with women... so I'm not sure you can be helped here.

The Critter is closer, so it seems like a better choice.

And thanks for the advice on glass cages. I have already picked out my tank there, but I am also looking at some local tanks that people are dismantling and selling for cheap!!!!
