In-sump independent filter???

Do any manufacturers make an independent particulate filter that I could place in the corner of a glass aquarium sump, so I could still have room for my return pump, skimmer and heater. I need one that is sold independent of a sump, just one that i could set in the corner and hook my tubing into it. any suggestions would help

Just use a hang-on-the-back filter like aquaclear or whisper. Rather than hang it on the back, hang it inside the sump and disconnect its motor and tubing. You can have the overflow line drain straight into the filter.

I use phosban reactors and use whatever media I need, such as carbon, phosban, whatever I need to address. It's a tiny little pump to feed it so they fit into any small area.

Wal-Mart container, eggcrate in the bottom (remove some of the container bottom) Poly fill as a filter media. I change it every 3~4 days, about 5 seconds to complete. A piece of plexi bent with a heat gun as a tank hanger & nylon bolts & nuts to secure it to the container. Great for anything you can place in a bag, or the pads of the same also. This is an old pic, I use another container for the carbon, etc. in the return section fed from the UV return.

i run a canister filter. rena makes an easy to clean filter, i clean every other day, also carbon works better under pressure so that is a bonus.
