In Sump Protein Skimmer

I have a coralife 65g protein skimmer, however I do not believe it will do a good enough job for items I would like in my tank. It does a good job no doubt, however it is very finicky and lets out a ton of air bubbles. The bubbles would be eliminated in my sump once i get it setup, however this will still be a while.

I was looking at the Current USA Fission Recirculating Skimmer 150. On Marine depot it is on sale for around $120.

Looking to stay around $200 if possible.

if you have room for a fully in sump skimmer i ran a reef octopus skimmer 150 on my 90 and it did a great job and i think you can get those for 165 bucks online.

You could likely get a new Octopus NW-150 for under $200. Vertex also has a couple of skimmers around there. I don't think you'll be any happier with that Fission over your SS65.

Not saying these are the best, just some options for you to consider. Never owned either model but they're very popular.

OctoNW150 is not as nice as the vertex 100 or the BM 100 but the BM 100 is the bigger bang for your buck.

Have heard good things about those BM100's. For the dough, I'd try one of those over a Fission any day.

Fission vs BM100 not a contest.... The BM has amazing quality for the price 2 years ago before octo,msx , and now vertex the BM100 would have been insanely popular.
