In sump skimmer stand?

I need to make or buy something that will let me raise my new skimmer about 2 inches. The skimmer is the vertex in180. What can I use that will be practical, cheap, and available? I have some 1/4" acrylic, but no glue for it...is there anything I can do with pvc? I would prefer to not attach anything to the skimmer itself. Anyone have any pics or ideas?

Please help...skimmer will be shipped today...

i've seen pics of people that have placed their skimmers on 1 or 2 layers of eggcrate to get to a certain height....

I made a "square" of 1.5" pvc attached with 90 degree elbows and put a piece of acrylic on top to support my skimmer. Doesn't move around even though its not glued, and you end up with a 2.5" raise.

If you do that, just drill some holes in the pvc so it sinks

Use eggcrate and zipties to form a rectangle missing one side for a perfect height platform that also avoids collecting detrius.
