In wall access door material

My inwall tank size does not meet the minimum for this forum (120 gallon) but I know some in here would have some information that may help.

I'm looking to do some very basic trim around the bottom of the tank and sides. The top part would be an access door. I'm thinking of just one piece of board with no trim on the sides as I think it would distract from the tank itself. Or is it because I don't have the skills for finish work...LOL. I would probably have a piano hinge on the top of the access door.

Question is what kind of wood would be best to do this?. Something that will not warp from the heat and moisture. It dose not have to be wood as long as there will be no warping over time. Something lite like like vinyl would be nice as well but I would think it would have to be a bit too thick for it not to warp. Or perhaps I can reinforce the inside of the door with 1"x2"'s to give it some rigidity? This piece would be approximately 53" x about 14"

A vented full size door cut and fitted it was I used. It helped keep things cool. Sorry I don't have pics

MDO - Iron on some edging, the whole piece will finish up as smooth as the wall material. 1/2 inch would be my choice.

I'd likely use small magnets to hold it in place. Larger magnets to take it off. No hinge.

I had an in wall years ago and I just used normal baseboard trim cut at 45's at the corners. It worked well for me

I thought I'd update with what I did.
Used 1/2" birch from home depot. Braced with a couple of pieces of 1 by board and put a magnetic opener. No hinges. Push the top part and it comes right off. One of the braces acts as a lip so that it rests on the tank. Pretty easy but we'll see after some use. I only did this because it was the easiest solution I could come up with, not necessarily the best but I do like how you can easily pop the whole door off.
