Infomercial

Nothing was on tv and I ran across this infomercial. Its a ato for a christmas tree. Already have top off but ideas on this being a cheap ato. http://www.quenchatree.com/store.htm

This line from the "how it works" link, "The valve consists of a few basic parts; valve body, a magnetic float, a steel ball and a seat." Later it mentions "All metal parts are coated to prevent corrosion", is it possible to coat a steel ball or the magnetic float? If they are coated to prevent corrosion, is that strong enough for salt water?
