Initial Stocking of a 58g tank

Hey all.

I set up a 58 gallon reef tank in July. I think it's about time to add some fish. I was wondering about the following combination:

3-4 blue-green chromis
1 royal gramma basslet (or midas blenny)
1 ruby head fairy wrasse

So my questions would be

are these good beginner fish?

will they get along?

how many can I add at once?

in what order?

Sorry for all the q's, I'm just starting this adventure:)

Thanks!

I would possibly rethink the chromis. Alot of times they will kill each other off until 1 or 2 remains, and they need to be fed alot.

sounds good to me.
personally i'd go w/the midas blenny over the royal gramma.
just stick w/2 chromis' you'll want to add more or different fish later and having 3 or 4 will limit how many more fish you can have. they're very hard to catch as well but other than that it sounds good.

as for the order, i'd go w/2 chromis', the wrasse, and then the blenny. good luck.

Nix the chromis! Get a couple clowns instead. Gotta have clowns! :D

Do you have a cleanup crew yet?

Maybe add the blenny/wrasse/basslet first, than the clowns later.
Don't forget to stock slowly.

Add a few shrimp. Maybe 2 cleaners and 2 peppermints in a tank that size. They are hilarious and will clean up any left over food. And they eat right from your hand!

Have fun!
