I have a 55-gallon Reef / swim tank. I have 2 ocellaris clowns, one Watchman goby, 2 pistol shrimp, a file fish, and my royal gramma. They have all lived in this tank for a couple of years with the exception of the file fish. He was added about 7 months ago. After a feeding about 5 days ago I noticed my Royal Gramma laying on its side behind a rock. I noticed this about an hour after I fed them. It was clear he had been injured, not sure how. I shut the lights out with the hopes that he would find a place to hide and de-stress. The next morning I found him in the Overflow. Not sure how he was able to jump that far in his condition. I fished him out and put him in a two and a half gallon Marina circular filtered Aquarium that I had lying around. I put a live rock out of my reef tank and it as well as some of the water and dosed it with "fish keeper". He's been floating at the top on his side now for 4 days. I've done 50% water changes every other day, added live mysis shrimp and tried to hand feed him Marine cuisine. Not sure if he's getting any of this food. Everytime I think he has some he spits it back out. 1 of his fins are injured and he has a wound on his back behind his eyes. The wound appears to have a white color to it. Not sure what else I can do for him at this point. Can anyone tell me why he is still floating on its side and offer any suggestions to help him heal?
