I am about to add interceptor to my system and had a few questions in regards to inverts and equipment. I have a star fish as well as multiple conchs in this system. Is it necessary to remove them as well? Also I have read remove GFO and Carbon but no one mentioned what I should do with my bio-pellet reactor. Should this be removed as well? If I run it in the bucket with my shrimp and hermits wont that potentially leave a gap allowing red bugs in the reactor back in the tank?
Just to recap what I have learned from multiple sites, is for 200g total volume dose approximately half of the pill, remove hermits and shrimp add them to a bucket with a heater and a powerhead and nothing more. Remove all carbon and remove the air hose from your skimmer. allow 10-24 hours for the treatment and repeat in a week. Does this sound correct? If I'm missing any key parts please let me know.
