It's a Tritonia or Tritoniopsis. The shape of the rhinophores & cerata is very distinctive. They're very common hitchhikers on the soft corals they eat.
this thing eats corals, i wouldn't buy anything from a lfs that doesn't groom his corals befor he put in in the main tank, you never know what esle is in there
exactl;y, who knows what else is in there. thats why you assume EVERYBODY is infected
when i said this thing was on the glass It wasnt exactly true. the owner knows i like pests and saves the for me. he had it in a container when i got there for me. Not sure where exactly he found it...i should have just said it came into the lfs...didnt think it mattered but since you bring it up.......
whether or not a LFS grooms thier corals it is our responsibility to assume everything is infected and practice preventative measures accordingly.
Its hard enough to keep pests out of our displays buying aquacultured frags from fellow hobbyists. Try running hundreds of new corals through your tank every week both wild and aquacultured, and then try to claim you are 100% pest free. Aint gonna happen
