I have a solar wrasse that has been in my display for nearly two years. His color is not good and he is extremely thin. He eats like a pig but has continued to waste away over the last several months. I recently lost a McCoskers flasher wrasse that displayed the same traits. There are two other fish in the display and they are both nice and fat.
Could this be internal parasites that I am seeing? I seriously doubt this as cyanide related due to the fact that I have had him so long. The fish went through a 6 week quarantine before being added to the display. During that time he was treated with copper and prazi-pro and seemed incredibly healthy when added to the display.
I would like to capture the fish and move into quarantine and treat him. Getting weight back on the fish is a must and some color back into him would be an added bonus.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
C.G.
