Introducing myself.

Drue

New member
I just got into the hobby and thought I'd join up. My dad quit the hobby a few years back and I just got my hands on his 72 gallon bowfront. I'm in the process of adding an overflow and stuff.

A buddy of mine (you know him as loyalty) got me into the hobby, so you have him to blame.:D

Thought I'd just introduce myself. I'll probably be posting around here once my tank's up.

hello drue and

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you've looked into the reef clubs. It's also a great way to learn stuff, swap and really increases the speed at which you can spend money.

Welcome to MTRC:). I think you'll find this site pretty helpful (alot of great people). There is a club in Clarksville, too, that you might want to check into. Al ot of good people up there, too.

I never remember how to get the fancy welcome... someone help me out here.

Brian -- use square brackets instead of colons.

[ welcome ] instead of :welcome: (but don't include the spaces)...

Sweet!!!

[welcome]

Guess we all have to try it!

Really welcome to a great board, and you now can look forward to having a hole in the water to dump money into, that is not a boat.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them here, if we don't know, we will do our best to put you in touch with someone who does.
Some of us are really good at telling you what not to do, epically me.

Rick

Wow I finally learned how to do that now can I learn the secret hand shack too

I hear you on the money hole comment. Between the overflow/drill bits/RO.DI unit/ new salt/ new LR/ tank for sump and acrylic... I think I've already spent 300 bucks. That's without any life in the tank, too.

My first question:

What's the best way to get water movement? I've heard a lot of different stuff. A closed loop is a little over my head.

(Thanks for the warm welcome. I saw a post about this club being rude or something. Got me a little nervous.)

I to am fairly new to this site Drue, and i can say. No one has ever been rude to me. I like these guys so much that ill be joining there club real soon.
