IO salt in lain bags

I live on the other side of the planet. The Instant Ocean salt here is available in plain 20 kg bags, which is fine, but the thing is that it is low in Calcium (300ppm) and Mg( 1050ppm). Has anyone seen IO salt sold this way. I suspect IO provides these for use in Aquarium shops where it is not really necessary to keep Ca and Mg at their optimum levels, but these bags eventually get sold to individuals.

When I buy a box of IO(200 gallon box) it comes with 4 x 50 gallon bags. Reef crystals has better readings on Ca and Mag. I use regular IO and add Ca and mag to suit my needs. It is cheaper to add to the IO than it is to buy Reef Crystals(which needs some tweaking also).

IME,IO always had a low CA reading.300 sounds about right for IO.I could be wrong,but IO says on the package that it is for "Saltwater" tanks.Whereas IORC says for "REEF",& SW tanks.

I agree that sounds about right.

In a Fish Only tank, you don't really want to pay extra for 450 ppm calcium you don't need. IO is made for a wide range of users.

It's pretty easy to get the Ca and Mg where you want it. I keep my Mg elevated to 1600 ppm anyway. (Killed all Hair Algae)
