Hi Everyone,
Total newbie here. I have a FOWLR tank that is 6 months old. Currently I have 2 clowns and a royal gramma - the standard starters. It is a 55 G (36 x 18 x 20) with a 13 G sump. My original stocking plan consisted of 2 clowns, 1 RG, 1 midas, and something blueish like a sixline wrasse, coral beauty or azure damsel.
I wanted to add a midas blenny because I heard (and read) that they are good beginner fish with lots of personality and are peaceful but they seem to be hard to come by. I love the yellow color. Our local fish store, or should I say our nearest one (hour drive) suggested a canary blenny instead. Cheaper with a lot of similar characteristics, and of course available. I'm not worried about their bite, I just want to find out if they would be a good fish for my planned stocking in lieu of a midas blenny as well as get some experienced thoughts on the matter.
Thanks.
P.S. I'll have more stocking questions as we head down the road.
