is anyone testing for potasium if yes what test bkit and what levels are you getting?

I am asking because a while back I bought the red sea pro potasium test kit and it is a pain in the *ss. takes about 30 minutes for one test and my results have been below the minimum of 200ppm even after some dosing.

curious to see if anyone has even bothered, I believe levels are supposed to be close to 400ppm

I do not test for potassium. The salt I use is high in potassium and since I'm doing 2-3 gallon water change daily, I am guessing it is ok. I could bring a sample of my salt water mix and we could check the accuracy of your test.

No need eugene i have been thinking about spiking a sample of my tank with the additive I have and then testing. I just have not got around to it. the test is a pain. just wanted to seeif anyone else bothered with it.

I do not have faith in the $50 test kit at this point

I would think that Kent reef salt would sufficiently take care of replenishing potassium and other trace elements with regular water changes. I switched a couple months ago from Kent Reef Salt to Red Sea Coral Pro salt. Although, they both seem to do the job :)
