I received my coral order yesterday, a few corals had issues, the rest were fine.
The first one is a Fiji yellow leather. It had a few brown areas on the edge of the ruffle, other than that it seemed fine. I drip acclimated it for an hour and a half, placed in my tank and soon after it started turning brown in many areas. I have it in moderate flow.
This morning when I woke up it looks alot worse, now im not sure if its just going through a normal shed or if its actually dead. It has an area of yellow but it looks kinda mushy underneath.
Should I throw it out? or just leave it? and it will bounce back?
Second coral of concern is a Button polyp colony. The water in the bag was really dirty, this has never happend before with LiveAquaria. The water had a foul odor to it. When I took out the polyps to be acclimated I saw alot of the polyp stalks were white and had that melting appearance. Usually polyps ship great but something happend to these. I have polyps from you guys for years that are still going strong. A few polyps look fine on the rock but 90% of them are goners.
I just dont know what to do with the yellow fiji?
