is it ok to switch from 20k to 14k

Hi,
I have 20k metal halide bulb now and the LPS are fine and growing. Is it ok for me to change to 14k to get more white cause 20k is a bit too blue for me after a year. Will the changes kill the corals? thanks.

just acclimate them to the lighting slowly, shorter photo period, raise the light and lower gradually, window screen method, many ways to do it and they will be fine

Just pop it in, it wont shock the corals going from 20k to 14k.

Some LPSs are very sensitive to light change. They may close a few days to adjust. But should be fine.

Personally I'd just pop it in. You can shorten the preriod if you want to be safe.

If you do not like more growth, then stick with pretty 20ks.
