Is it safe to have Acan Frags touch each other?

I have an Eshopps Frag Cave that will hold 12 Frag Plugs.

I was wondering if it would be OK to put 12 Acans on this?

Some of them would be touching one another and I am worried about Coral Warfare.

I have had Corals touch each other in the past and kill each other from stinging.

Will this be OK?

I wanna say that acan echinata cannot go up against lords, bowerbanki etc. I remember reading somewhere they pack more of punch with their sting.

Other than that I think your good.

From what I have read, as long as they are the same type of scans, i.e lords with lords, echinatas with echinatas, you should be ok, of course that does not mean it is a rule, do it at your own risk.

I have several acans and have had the best extension when they had at least a one to two inch radius between them on the frag stand or sand bed. I have had them closer but they tend not to get the expansion and tentacle extension as much and sometimes days with none at all.

Like footballduke said, as long as they are the same type. Enchinatas and rotundoflora's are some mean acans and do not get along with lords or any other corals it seems. I have one acan that looks like a lord but was told was a Ishigakiensis, and that is the only one that doesn't get along with the Lordhowensis collection. You can stack lords on lords with no problem. I also have bowerbanki's and lords coexisting and have never had a problem with them either.

The same types should be ok, but echinata's are aggressive so try to keep things away from them. I'm not sure about bowerbanki's

My theory is this unless you are willing to tear your entire tank apart for one single fish then I would not even chance it
