Is it safe to use Weld On 4 in a running tank?

I accidently snapped off the braced to my sump so I have to attach a new piece of brace across the top of the sump. I'm afraid that I may have some Weld On solvent leaking into my water.

Weld on takes very little time to set. Probably good in a couple hours. I would just shut off the sump and drain it a bit. Tape off the area with some shower curtain type material and do your work.

Even if you need to totally shut off the sump to do the work, it's not going to do anything to the animals if you have a closed loop or powerheads in the tank (which I'm assuming most people do).

I've put Weld-on 4 and 16 in water in about half an hour. So if you can lower the water level for a hour, you'll be good. Make sure it is dry before you attach the brace.

It's just going above the water not inside.... I'm just putting a brace across the top. I'm gonna see if I can have someone hold a rag there while I glue it.
