Is it worth seeing?

I wasn't quite sure where to ask this so here it is. I'm going to Florida next week and was wondering if the Florida Aquarium in downtown Tampa is worth seeing? I'd have to drive up from the Fort Myers area. Thanks

i've been there and its nice. you might be better driving south to miami. longer drive but better IMO.

I want to this aquarium just a few weeks ago while in Tampa. Spent a few hours looking around and had a good time. They had a side exhibit of seahorses (including leafy dragons) that was pretty cool.

Not a bad aquarium by any means, but not as impressive as the ones in New Orleans and Baltimore.

It's not a bad place to look around...and this is from someone who grew up a member at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago (my all time fav) They have redone many things since the last time I was there, so I can't comment on the new and improved version. I thought it was nice though.

Thanks, I will be going for sure. Probably early next week. On my way to Bonita Springs on Sunday I plan to detour off of I-75 and take the bridges across Tampa Bay then re-connect to I-75............just for the scenery. This will be a fish watching, golfing, fishing, snorkeling, and beach sitting vacation.

i agree on shedd. love that place. only one of its type im a member of.

the drive your taliking about is nice. my parents lived just south of the skyway bridge untill about 6 months ago. then they moved farther south....."too cold way up north for them"
