is it worth using old LR ( from a tank with white spot )

well my old 30g closed down after a seriouse outbreak of white-spot. i have about 45 lb's of LR left from this tank, its sat in a completley sealed container in my garage ( not heated ) and has been there for around 2-3 months. now i asume this rock is dead now.. but what about the white-spot. ??

is it worth taking the risk of using the rock again and having white-spot in my new tank ? or should i just bin it and start over with fresh LR ?

any input is nice

id say it should be fine. Im very doubtful white spot could live in a fallow tank for 2-3months

and if i could live in the cold, fallow, dark water. It would not have a host so....
