Is Kole tang coral safe?

My kole tang is nearly completed quarantine and ich elimination process. I am tossing between whether to put it in my reef tank or fish only tank. Is it reef safe? Does it eat zoas and ricordea?

I've had one for a month and it doesn't go near the corals so you should be good. My issue is that he won't go near the sea veggies I put in there as you should try to supplement his diet with something vegan...

An algae grazer will be coral safe as long as sufficient food is available. Otherwise corals with zooxanthellae will be at risk.

Mine eats nori and it is an algae magnet. Thanks for sharing yr experience i feel more secure to put it in my reef tank then. I think it will enjoy in reef tank environment more. When i first got it i didnt think it will make it overnight because of ich explosion but it turns around well.

99.9% of tangs are. I had tangs that picked at clams but it was when they were dying and they protruded things that looked algae-esque
