Is My Clam Gaping?

I just bought a Crocea clam and I was wondering if the inhalent siphon is suppose to be a about 1/4 inches across in size. Is this size normal or is the clam gaping. The mantle is fully extended and is a very beautiful blue purple color.

My setup
2 175 MH
RO DI water
100 gal tank
Coralvite is added weekly.
All other water parameters are in good standing.

Crocea clams gape open more then Maximas. This is very normal. Cannot really comment on the 1/4" not knowing the size of the clam.

Thanks for replying. Yes I have been looking at a lot of crocea clam picks and some are gaping and some don't. My clam is about 4 inches across. It seems to be doing very well.
