I just got this clam yesterday, just curiuos if this is normal for Corcea

PH: 8.0
Nitrates: 1ppm
Alk: 10.8 dKH
Calcium: 420
Mag: 1200

true gapping is the lose of control of the abductor muscle. the shell it self will open wider then normal, the mantle will be receding to the edge of the shell or retracted into the shell and the in-current syphon open very wide.
