It's hard to tell from that pic but when leathers shed, they don't have their polyps extended. They get a shiny waxy look to them. That's why leathers need to be in relatively good flow (but not get blasted) so they can shed that skin. Sometimes I help them along and blow them with a turkey baster. When they open up again they will be stronger and bigger and maybe even brighter then before...normally. If a leather is constantly shedding though, it's usually a sign that they're stressed for some reason...moving them might be what's needed.
